Back of card reads: Gentle natured Ronan was thought to be two years old when he was adopted from the RSPCA and what a lucky find he was. Nine years on and he is the cherished family patriarch of four female cats.
Madge and Harvey came into his life five years later. These two were tiny Fingal ferals when they were saved from a life of crime. Bottle fed and afraid, the sisters were made to feel safe by Ronan as he instinctively took on the role of matriarch as well, grooming and carrying them around in his mouth from room to room. It was’t until Harvey was desexed that it was discovered that he was in fact a she but by then the name had stuck.
In recent times another kitten was rescued from a car yard and also joined the family. The other cats were initially wary but with Ronan’s acceptance and nurturing of the kitten, Madge, Harvey and Mole then welcomed Macaroni into the fold as well.
